The anchor on CNN was shocked -- "This is where Jesus walked on water!"
Hate to break it to you, but the Congressman's junk would have been in the water even if he'd been wearing a swimsuit. And most of the images I've seen show Jesus just wearing a loin cloth. Stupidity aside, what possible difference does it make that the congressman was naked in the water upon which Jesus walked?

(37,364 posts)they were very careful to let the public know that Cantor (leader of the delegation) severely "scolded" all of the participants in that little adventure. I want the shock value of this to be inflated. Anything to embarrass these religious extremists in our government and their supporters is well worth it.

Yes, we drink dinosaur pee. What about it?

So what else went on that they're not telling us because this is just some real silliness.

(47,675 posts)I don't care what his party affiliation was - there's nothing wrong with skinny dipping. Although I AM quite certain that FOX would turn it into "water"gate if the Congressman in question was a Democrat.

(2,593 posts)these were elected officials visiting as representatives of the U.S. Their drunken, frat boy behavior reflects poorly on all of us and reinforces the world view that Americans are self centered, egotistical brats.

I live on a lake...gotta wear a suit in the daytime when people are out waterskiing and swimming. But after 10:00, swimsuits are totally optional. And you can guess which way I opt.

(47,992 posts)Check out Yoder's campaign; you'll see a very clear "it's easier to 'apologize' than it is to seek permission" especially when it comes to use of the commons created by ALL of us. Just like "our" governor SUBSIDY-Sam Brownback's quote "... EXPERIMENT ..." with our lives.
Yoders are also big recipients of agriculture subsidies in this state, none of which, you are going to be told, had any effect whatsoever on Kevin's purchase of the office he holds.
Perhaps THAT's the sea his reference authentically pertains to, a sea of ChurchKoch money, just like the one that put Phil Kline into office and, then Kris Kochbach.
