Family Research Council PAC ‘Enthusiastically’ Backs Todd Akin (will Mitt denounce them) - updated

Family Research Council PAC ‘Enthusiastically’ Backs Todd Akin

Benjy Sarlin

The Family Research Council's PAC defended embattled Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) in a press release on Monday.

"This is another case of 'gotcha politics' against a conservative leader," FRC Action President Connie Mackey said in a statement. "Todd Akin has a long and distinguished record of defending women, children and families. He has fought against forcing taxpayers to subsidize abortion giant Planned Parenthood, which is the bedrock of Claire McCaskill's base of support."

He conclude by saying: "We know Todd Akin, and FRC Action PAC enthusiastically endorses his candidacy."

Let see if Mitt will denounce these despicable assholes. He's listed as an invited speaker at their hate summit.

It's really hilarious how these assholes run like cockroaches when Americans get an unvarnished glimpse of who they really are. Come into the light you fuckers.

Romney ‘Appalled’ By Family Research Council Shooting

MItt Romney issued a response to an incident at the Family Research Council building in Washington, D.C. today in which one security guard was shot, per the Washington Examiner:

“I am appalled by the shooting today at the offices of the Family Research Council in our nation’s capital,” he said. “There is no place for such violence in our society. My prayers go out to the wounded security guard and his family, as well as all the people at the Family Research Council whose sense of security has been shattered by today’s horrific events.”

If they're associated with this sort of insane beliefs, even just by accepting donations from such a group, they should be called on.

We have a chance to expose some of these groups, and politicians, for the twisted beliefs they hold against women. I hope we use it to its full advantage.

I loathe the so-called Family Research Council, but I'm glad they and their polemics are there to tie around the necks of the lockstep Republican majority in Congress where women voters can plainly see what backwards, reactionary opinions the Tea Party Right has of the female population of this country.

of that FRC "press release" I doubt even Willard could choke them all down at once. These people are fucking clinically insane and should be locked safely away from folks with functioning cerebral cortexes.
