(18,837 posts)I'll keep this brief...if Howard Schultz insists on launching a vanity presidential campaign, his only accomplishment will be to siphon votes from the Democratic candidate, as Jill Stein did in 2016. Donald Trump told the audience at a fundraiser this evening that he wants him to run because it will "help" him secure a second term. It's a terrible idea, and he's received no shortage of that feedback on Twitter. Literally 100% of the responses to his tweets include some form of "don't run." I generally do not favor boycotts, but as long as it is his intention to go down this path, I can't in good conscience purchase your products. It's his prerogative to do this, as it is mine to not be a customer as long as he pursues a senseless and damaging "campaign." Thank you for your understanding.
