Lewandowski unleashes the most pathetic torrent of PROJECTION on "possible 2020 primary challenger"

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld will be announcing his 2020 plans in New Hampshire in two weeks, WMUR reported Friday.

Weld is the scheduled speaker at the “Politics and Eggs” breakfast at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics on February 15th.

As the Republican governor of Massachusetts from 1991-1997, Weld was well known in New Hampshire, which hosts the nation’s first primary. In 2016, he was the vice presidential nominee on the Libertarian Party ticket.

Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, lashed out at Weld for considering a Republican Party challenge of President Donald Trump.

“This is a man who’s grown up with immense privilege his entire life and just wants to stay relevant,” Lewandowski told WMUR.

I'd rather have a Democrat elected, but if Weld pushed Trump aside in the primary (which would be sweet by itself), then I think this country will be in much better shape in 2021 either way. Which of course means the Republicans will never allow it.

Weld's political career was cut short by the awful Jesse Helms, because Weld was in favor of marijuana legalization (or at least not opposed). So, Helms derailed his appointment (by Clinton) to be ambassador to Mexico. Because, you know, there was no wall to prevent people with cantaloupe-legs from importing massive amounts of pot across the border.

Me.

"first primary" ?

That is not accurate, is it?.

Iowa primary for both parties is Feb 3rd, New Hampshire Feb 11, 2020
