As of Jan. 30, the nonprofit Gun Violence Archive reported 27 mass shootings in the United States since the beginning of 2019. Forty-four people died as a result of those mass shootings.

Please note, these are only mass shootings. The number of individuals killed by guns in this country in the first 30 days of the year totals 1,151.

... I know who frightens me, and we don’t need a wall to keep them out. They are already here.
