If his lips are moving, he is lying, so I will spare myself the waste of time.

going to make sure my TV is off.

Honestly, the fewer people who watch him the better, but I'll be turning on Stacey Abrams' speech afterward. Best revenge is making sure his ratings are lower than hers.

but yeah, it's creepy AF. I don't think it's some kind of weird man-crush, though; I think it's calculated - because Pence knows Trump loves to watch himself on TV and he will see Pence gazing at him rapturously. Pence also knows Trump is fickle and will turn on anyone he perceives to be disloyal in the slightest way. While Trump can't fire Pence, he could kick him off the 2020 ticket for an even more fulsome ass-kisser. Pence wants very much to be president; he thinks God wants him to be president. So, assuming Trump is still in office by 2020, Pence wants more than anything to be his running mate - because Pence knows that sooner or later Trump is going down even if, God help us, he's re-elected in 2020. If Trump doesn't make it to 2020, so much the better for Pence, but he's doing what he can to remain in Trump's good graces. That, IMO, is why Pence gazes at him with what looks like rapt adoration.

Pence daily if not hourly. Dump must have people to kick around and blame. Not a peep from Pence.
I have no sympathy for Pence, but he has be thoroughly trained to shut up and sit down. There's some chance he
could be President, he's wooden now, but by then he will be a hollow man (I hope).

I'm not watching, never do, he makes me sick. My husband feels like he should watch, so does. He lets me know when the Democratic response is about to come on and I return to the room. I feel so much better not giving him the benefit of me watching his 100% lies and vicious hate for an hour. Plus he cares more about ratings than anything besides PUtin, so I deprive him of my 1 # and give it to the Dems. It drove him wild that his last speech had less viewers than the response from the Democrats.
