Mueller & Co., and oh my, that Elliot Broidy is dirty DIRTY!! I think the only reason he hasn’t been indicted just yet is because he’s one of those low-hangin fruits the feds can nail when they feel like it...ain’t no thang...

GREAT news, thank you, triron!!!

I thought Elliott Broidy paid off the Playmate but didn't really have the affair with her. (?) Didn't the story come out last year that he was covering for Cheeto who really had the affair, and she had to get an abortion?

Now I'm confused!

Of course that's supposed to make me tune out, blame "politics" and "government," and "them" because they're all the same, and not bother voting. Nuts to that.

From Nov. 30 2018:

...The trove of hacked documents shows that Broidy, a Republican fundraiser, and his wife engaged in contract negotiations to represent Jho Low in 2017, after Trump became president. The emails included talking points to be used with the White House explaining why the U.S. should drop its probe. One draft contract called for Broidy’s wife’s firm to make $75 million if it succeeded. That number closely matches the amount the government is seeking from Higginbotham-related accounts in its forfeiture lawsuit....

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-30/1mdb-s-jho-low-allegedly-funneled-money-to-influence-doj-probe

Broidy was also on the RNC finance committee, along with now-defunct Steve Wynn and one Michael Cohen...good times, eh boys?

And lastly, there’s this, from July of last year - we’re hearing more and more about Tom Barrack now (head of inauguration committee) - so here’s Barrack and Broidy doing god knows what:

Former Trump campaign official Rick Gates was paid tens of thousands of dollars in 2017 by a company headed by a leading Republican fundraiser and a firm headed by Donald Trump's inaugural committee chairman for help navigating the new administration, even as Gates was under criminal investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller, a new report says.

The New York Times article raises questions of why the two men, Elliott Broidy and Thomas Barrack, each of whom had close ties to the Republican Party and, in Barrack's case, to the president himself, were paying a lobbyist like Gates for guidance on how to deal with the new administration.

When right-wingers call Mrs. Clinton a crook, my response has always been this:

Only one of two things can be true.

1. Hillary Clinton is the smartest criminal ever since she's been so thoroughly investigated and been able to evade justice because she's smarter than everyone who has investigated her.

OR

2. Hillary Clinton is innocent of any wrong-doing.

Take your pick.

(The probe into the Russian connection.) The more they dug, the more they found and it became obvious this was way bigger than anyone dreamed. Now the bits and tidbits are being released or leak out and it should be clear to anyone why Mueller’s investigation continues. Like a magician pulling silk scarves out of a top hat, Mueller has a treasure trove of facts and figures that will bring down not only tRump, but a jaw dropping number of other well known people.

It has been said here at DU before and needs to be restated with emphasis. Patience! As hard as it is to remain patient, this investigation must be allowed to be completed. This is history. It wil impact this country and places around the world. I have no doubt that tRump will be taken down and exposed for the evil dictator wannabee he is. But a lot more people will fall with him. We have to let Mueller and Congress finish their work. I have a bottle of Prosecco ready to chill when it happens but I have to keep reminding myself not to rush to the conclusion until we have the goods on every player in this massive deception.

the longer the shitbag remains in office, the more damage he and the cabal can do - to climate laws, voting rights, immigration, foreign relations and policy....installing RW judges to the courts....doing Putin’s bidding....they’ve got to go NOW, before the America - and everything it’s stood for - is changed forever.

right-wing billionaires who already have whatever replacements will be needed lined up?! You know they intend to keep the presidency and senate and take control of the house less than 2 years now?

I believe we are now in the middle of an attempted slow-motion authoritarian takeover of our nation. Faced with changing and embracing at least some liberalism and diversity -- or dying, right-wing powers controlling the GOP have increasingly chosen a third course. That idiot Trump had no idea what was happening and used a right-wing voter rebellion against party leadership to just push himself into the middle of it. Proving their willingness to support bad authoritarian leaders beyond any question in the process.

Scary-destructive as Trump is, I think we should fear a President Pence, who shares the attitudes and goals of the hard right's billionaire, social conservative, white nationalist, and Christian dominionist factions.

It was rather amazing to see consummate professional Speaker Pelosi sat next to the vice president for over a half hour without exchanging one word or glance. Extraordinary, but whatever it is, we know there was reason.

This. ^^^

I have friends, & have read here on DU, too, that feel we can breathe easier now that the dems control the House. I just SMH. We are not even close to out of the woods & in fact, are probably in more danger of him acting irrationally than ever before. TPTB will give the zealots most of what they want if it means dismantling representative government.

He is, of course, conservative himself and very well connected.

It is what makes waiting patiently so hard. I think every day about the damage being done and wonder when will it end. The longer that monster remains in office, the more havoc he brings. I still can’t figure out why he has been allowed to stay in office. If we have the information we know about, just imagine what Mueller and Congress know?! The only thing I can conclude is the conspiracy must be massive and ensnares lots and lots of people. This is by Putin’s design....to get people under his control. They get in so deep there is no choice but to co-operate with him. That is until they get caught by Mueller or Congress who let them know in no uncertain terms what they face. (Putin’s wrath or a long prison term.). Then they co-operate with the investigators.

I hate waiting. I really do. But this investigation needs to be complete. So I’m trying to keep my sh*t together .....hoping against hope that there is enough of our country left to govern. 😕 Not one of the bastards involved in this conspiracy should be allowed to escape.
