It's Starting To Happen Already - The MSM Is Setting Up A.....

close horse race for the presidency in 2020.

I can't fathom Trump even being around by the 2020 election - but they are starting the talk that it's going to be close and Trump could win a 2nd term.

It will be close percentage wise qazplm135 Feb 2019 #1
It wasn't close w.r.t. percentage in 2016... and we still lost the EC. berni_mccoy Feb 2019 #6
Of course. It's reality TV for ratings, not news coverage. manor321 Feb 2019 #2

I don't expect it will be as close in 2020 but we could still lose the EC without a much wider gap in the popular vote.

If someone like Kasich is running then the Dems are going to have a tough time winning back the upper midwest. If it's tRump then a candidate who is seen as too extreme could be beatable.

Nothing that is happening now will have much context even a year from now.
Things are happening too fast. The media will always try to write the narrative
and project it into an unknown future to drive their ratings.

Stay focused on our objectives to select the best candidate to lead us out
of this dangerous morass and to beat Trump.

Trump is considered good for news ratings. He's better than Hillary would have been.. he'd be better than any of the Democrats being talked about. Normal people are not as good a news subject as an insane lunatic.

just because a large percentage of the country votes for republicans because that's what they always done. They don't look at the issues, they don't vote in their own best interest. They just vote republican. It will be close because America is so evenly divided and we don't have any real options besides republican and Democrat

If the majority already feel this way how is the GOP going to support him? Why should they?

Drive up negatives of all the Dems in the primary. Schultz splits off the anti-Trump moderates. Jill Stein #2 takes the idiot far left. It may work if we don't have a good candidate

46% of registered voters sat it out in 2016, we need to make sure the majority of them don't do it again!

...how seismic of an impact that will play on the election.

The idea that a president's own son may be under indictment for actions relating to his own campaign is going to create major, major headaches within the GOP.

That re-elected GW Bush. Trump could absolutely get a second term. We would be foolhardy to ignore that possibility.

The Trump humpers have doubled down and all the other Repukes love their taxes and right wing judges. Do you think they spent two years excusing this pig for no reason?
