The Washington DC medical examiner's office has just confirmed that former Russian press minister Mikhail Lesin died of "blunt force trauma to the head."
Lesin, who founded the English-language television network Russia Today (RT) was found dead in a Washington, DC, hotel room in November 2015.
The Daily Beast reports that before his death, Lesin was considering making a deal with the FBI to protect himself from corruption charges.
For years, Lesin had been at the heart of political life in Russia and would have known a lot about the inner workings of the rich and powerful.

This situation could explain why Trump only has fast food secretly imported into the WH -- he's afraid that Putrin could/would "off him" otherwise. He's controlling the food he eats as he doesn't trust Putin and that he knows he's disposable.

(3,523 posts)If dumpy becomes too much of a risk, Putin will get rid of him. Of course his hands will remain clean ( wink wink).

(46,773 posts)or "off him", I'm sure he could find a way. Trump and his incompetent gang are no match for the KGB. I'm writing all kinds of scripts in my head right now and Mike Pence is a key figure in one of them!!!

Bill O'Reilly: "Do you respect Putin?"
Trump: "I do respect him."
Bill O'Reilly: "Do you??? Why?'
Trump: "Well, I respect a lot of people, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get along with them. He's a leader of his country. Uhhh...I say it's better to get along with Russia than not. And if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS - which is a major fight - and Islamic terrorism all over the world, major fight, that's a good thing."
Bill O'Reilly: "Right..."
Trump: "Major fight. Will I get along with him? I have no idea. It's very possible I won't."
Bill O'Reilly: He's a killer, though. Putins a killer."
Trump: A lot of killers. Weve got a lot of killers. What? You think our countrys so innocent?

(43,079 posts)There are even more that fall into the range of "traffic accidents" and "heart attacks" that still strike one as being rather suspicious.
Take, for example, Anton Nossik, the so-called "Godfather of the Russian internet". After helping to develop Russia's online community, Nossik butted heads with the likes of Konstantin Rykov and other propagandists who wanted to weaponize the internet to turn it into a Russian state propaganda tool.
Nossik was stripped of his creations after speaking out against Kremlin censorship. He spoke out in favor of dissident politician Alexi Navalny and embroiled rock group Pussy Riot. He was actually arrested in 2014 for so-called "extremism". Russian authorities claim it was supposedly for him advocating for a scortched earth policy in Syria (which actually the Russian military was supporting), but it was quite obviously really about his continued criticism of the Putin regime.
In 2017, Nossik--who was only 51 years old and by all outward appearances in good health--was found dead at a friend's country house. The supposed cause of death, depending on the source, was either "heart attack" or "alcohol poisoning."
