That smirk on the orange face

I've heard people say they want to smash it with a frying pan, or a shovel.

Stop thinking this way. It's not going to happen. And if it did, it would reflect badly on us.

Yes, watching Trump can be infuriating. It can drive some people over the edge. And it can drive more sensible people to just change the channel.

This horrible, grotesque, orange gargoyle is in charge of America right now. It's our worst nightmare come true. But he's hanging on by his fingernails.

Here's my view of reality. There's no way he's going to occupy the White House for another four years. Mueller will never speak publicly about Trump's crimes. But his report of reality will leak out. We will learn that Trump is a major league criminal, who has been involved in every white collar crime imaginable, and maybe as an enabler of violent/deadly crimes.

My instincts tell me that Trump is over. However, if he can somehow steal another four years, all the rest of us are over.

Dangerous, anti-social people like Trump need to be removed from any position in which they can damage people. But don't wait for him to get locked up. America doesn't imprison ex presidents.

What we can look forward to is Trump becoming a pariah, an outcast, and a dreaded disease. Newt Gingrich, Mike Pence, Fox "news," and a few others might offer him their tongue baths. But they won't be able to bring the phony "populist" back to life.

One of two things are in our future: 1. The smirk will be wiped from his face and he'll spend the rest of his life as a punchline. 2. The GOP, using Trump, will turn America into a fascist state in which all opposition will be silenced. -- My guess is number 1.

Too many people don't know how close we are to becoming an enslaved society under fascist rule. But it's still a real possibility. And if we want to stop it, we'll need to rely on more than just our votes. We'll have to fight the and defeat the crime of voter suppression and all that goes with it.

Anyone who doesn't see it and fight for us is probably one of them... or too stupid to understand it.

As David Frum said two years or so ago....Republican leadership will subvert democracy itself to stay in power.

If you don't think they have already planned what to do if Trump is forced to leave or doesn't get re- elected by playing the pity party and putting one of them up as a candidate, then you're kidding yourself. We have to tie Kushner and air headed Ivanka and Jr. etc. to the scandals also. In fact, I would argue that may even be more important since Trump isn't going to be around on this earth much longer.
