It has become more obvious to those paying attention in Washington that Donald Trump is not having a good time being President. Since the 2018 Midterms, Americans have made it clear that they have had enough of the shit from the Trump Administration and Republicans. The lack of oversight has reached a fever pitch. The corruption is going to be exposed.
With Nancy Pelosi head of the House and Democrats dedicated to serving the people, the rules have changed and Donnie is not liking it. His mood has changed and he is not adjusting well to sharing power.
According to a CNN article, It has quickly became clear during the week that the commander in chief, who experienced only the most cursory oversight when Republicans ran both sides of Capitol Hill, is not enjoying his first taste of the new Democratic-led House.
Trump sought to paint Schiff's move as the kind of "ridiculous, partisan investigations" he had decried in his State of the Union address on Tuesday night. He charged in a tweet that the California Democrat was poring through "every aspect of my life, both financial and personal, even though there is no reason to be doing so ... Unlimited Presidential Harassment."

The corruption that is Trump world is surfacing . The past has a way of catching up with one. Trump is no exception.

(5,214 posts)or just presidential accountability?
One man's witch hunt is another man's search for honesty, justice and the truth.
And Pence - what is up with him, anyway? A storefront dummy has more personality! Adderall for Trump's ADHD, Zanax for Pence's social anxiety disorder?
But I don't 'get' Trump. Every president new to the job gets his personal life scrutinised in great detail. It is unrelenting until every facet has been examined, and found to conform to standards of public decency.
Did Trump think there was a switch somewhere where he could just turn off any scrutiny of his past and present, and be immune from that process of examination? Did he think it would just stop once he sat in the Oval Office chair? History has taught him nothing!

(16,485 posts)His role as head of the Transition Team will come to the surface regarding the Russians and any other speculation on his part. His history as a one-term Governor of Indiana and his anti-LGBTQ stand will follow him wherever he goes.

(9,880 posts)The Trumps are so greedy, they probably would have objected to Pence getting any kickbacks but one can hope. If Trump quits or is removed and Pence becomes president, more needs to come out about how the Pences left the state of Indiana to clean up the contamination from their failed gas stations. https://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-pence-family-gas-stations-indiana-20180713-story.html

(16,888 posts)That's because he has learned nothing - never even TRIED to learn anything. If it is not about HIM, it just doesn't matter. The least educated (don't tell me about "Wharton" - that was bought and paid for by Daddy), most un-civil, ignorant person ever to occupy the White House - EVER!!!

That's entirely possible, since Trump is delusional.

(14,250 posts)He is right where it feels good.
Look, to this twisted f, causing pain and emotional wounds to others does for his brain what being around loved ones at a holiday gathering is to us.
Fun? Doesn't apply to him. Being miserable is just a feedback loop that makes getting even more gratifying. He revels in humiliating others, making them outraged for no good reason other than he can, and seeing his name everywhere.
To him, that is what fun is to us.
So yeah, he is having his form of fun. It just doesn't make sense to us, and he looks miserable, but that's because he is a miserable person by choice. It's his party and he will yell and break your stuff if wants to.

(21,859 posts)Lets up the PH really high.
Time to pile on and start dragging out the indictments, coming as a result of all of the investigations, and nail these crooks to the WALL (ironic here, eh?).
And all of them too, not just one or two of them, all of this stuff was done by multiple entities. AMI, the paying off of NY state and other misc. personnel to look the other way (otherwise, how did rump get away w/ the long running scams he's pulled?), conspiracy to unduly influence the election, etc. The list goes on and on.
I want to raise the PH so high that he'll have a bitter taste in his mouth for the rest of his life.
