WTF

Elizabeth Warren is set to announce officially that she is running for President.
So now for almost 30 minutes MSNBC has been talking about her Native American claim.
I have been back and forth thinking Ms Warren would be talking but no its still all about her Native American claim.

Joy Reid is obviously following the Comcast Republican script. (by the way Joy what about your background and early career comments?)
MG Joy give it up
This is about Cable Networks except for a few hosts following the Republican talking point set forth by their Wingnut producers. If they want to keep their job that better follow the script.

The only host that gets away with following their own Script is Rachel

2. I saw that and was really irked that she let a male guest refer to Warren as "lying" about it

Look, she's handled it poorly, but how many of us have had their very understanding and sense of their ancestry and ethnic identity formed from what their parents and grandparents told them. I DO believe SHE believed this about herself.

The press and therefore the public will not forgive her.

I wish it wasn't true. But, that's the country we live in.

She's never going to live it down, it's permanently attached and their perfect weapon to neutralize any message she has.

Very, very unfortunate.

17. I think Elizabeth Warren scares the hell out of Republicans

Everything Elizabeth Warren has tried to accomplish she has.
After basically being fired from her job in Consumer Finance Relations forced by Republicans and then when she ran for the Senate people laughed at her (including Democrats) saying she had no chance in hell of winning a Senate Seat...we all know how that story ended.
Now Senator Elizabeth Warren is trying to overcome this Native American issue that they (Democrats and Republicans and people like Joy Reid)will not allow to die. Its all they got and never ever count Elizabeth Warren out.
Yes she can win the nomination and yes she can win the Presidency.
The same Democrats that say Warren can't win are the same ol Democrats that every election preach their talking point that "Progressives cant win".Democrats have to choose a Center,Moderate nominee in order to win.
Well ya know everytime Democrats choose a "Republican Lite" they get their ass kicked.
Take a look at the midterms and note how many Progressives won vs the Moderate Republican Ltes.
Democratic are ready for a Progressive and Elizabeth Warren is that candidate and she is scaring the hell out of Republicans. (oh didn't I mention that)
Elizabeth Warren has my vote.

(by the way to the member(s) that sent the heart(s) Thank You

Apparently the only sure fire method is to say and do more and more outrageous stuff.

if one is a repug, what you said/did yesterday or 15-30 years ago doesn't matter. The only exception to that was Moore and I am still astonished that my state elected a Democratic senator.

6. What Elizabeth needs to say:

"I have apologized to our Native American friends but I feel no need to apologize to Donald Trump. If he is prepared to carry the nickname of "Putin's Puppet", then I can withstand his nickname of "Pocahontas". It's time to move on.

The right found her weak spot and they are taking advantage of it. She feels the need to explain and apologize, but the more she does it, the worse she looks. Time to move on and not get distracted.

msnbc is not liberal, it puts a liberal slant to right wing talking points.

Nicole Wallace bashes the Trump crime family even more so than Rachel.

I keep repeating this; Phil Donahue, Keith Olbermann, Big Ed, Brashear, Uygur, Ratigan, Harris/Perry were all fired by msnbc, not because of bad ratings, but because they strayed from the narrative.

Rachel and Nicole are living on the edge.

the MSM still is focuses on THIS??? It is not a scandal and barely deserves a mention. Warren has been upfront and honest ever since entering politics. This is ridiculous. If a republican had said they were part Native American, would the media spend this much time and energy on it?

If cable news had put this much effort into Trump's sexual dalliances or financial scandals or racist comments, maybe he wouldn't be in the White House today.

Nobody cares about Warren's Native American ancestry, but the right sure is determined to bring down every strong female candidate we have. Republicans are accomplished pros at turning total nonsense into a scandal, often in an attempt to deflect from their own scandals.

13. Liz Warren is facing the . . .
Sat Feb 9, 2019, 01:01 PM
Feb 2019

But . . . But Her Emails treatment.

Everything about Warren is now framed through the Native American DNA snafu, rather than her ideas, policy prescriptions or legislation she's championed. All the disgusting Trumpian attacks and shout outs about Pocohantas have been largely set aside.

Warren's challenge is to break through the framing, so that we can see and hear her again. Her opponents, enemies and headline-loving press--will do everything to keep her from doing just that.

It's not going to be easy but Warren must change the narrative, sooner rather than later. Otherwise this cloud will continue to hang over her run for the White House.

it's out there and the open sore will be constantly poked at by friends and foe alike. She will be swiftboated to death about this.

The Dean scream, Nixon's 5 o'clock shadow, Dukakis in the tank... Look how easy it is to head south in public opinion, and how tough it is to get over it. Maybe it's best to try to deal with it now and try to make it go away with overexposure.

Anyway, yeah, Warren's economic ideas and protections are great, like AOC's, but in the end hardly anyone is paying attention.
