I don't have a decoder ring. But I do have an Oscar Mayer weinie whistle! Lolol.

The decoder ring talk reminded me of that era and the weinie whistle. My younger daughter found one online and bought it for me after I had told her how crushed I'd been as a child when my father wouldn't take me to get one when the Wienermobile came to our town. Sweet, sweet girl. My daughter, actually all my kids, are thoughtful that way.

Those whistle were a hand out at Grocery Store Grand Openings in Wisconsin in the late fifties. My mother would get so Pissed when one of us Kids ran around the house blowing the darn thing. Talk about harsh.
