It matters not to the evangelical end timers, be endorses his idiocy; it matters not to the wealthy whose only concern is amassing more wealth; it matters not to the white supremist radicals he is their messiah; it matters not to the under educated, he going to restore their long lost assembly jobs that are not coming back. Truth has nothing to do with it. Trump is just playing the suckers for all their worth. This is the rebirth of the No Nothings.

limbaugh's lead in excusing trump for everything he does, based on 30 years of accumulated repeated lying that has never been challenged - hillary was so much worse, there is no collusion, all made up by the deep state dems etc.

craig melvin of msnbc had on a rw radio host who's on 15 stations in texas to talk about the wall and melvin asked him "what are your callers saying" and they guy just repeated that the base wants a wall....

all these dumbasses who might call his show have been listening to limbaugh lies for years and they get all pissed off at democrats and the only shows they can call into are the local blowhards and they just repeat what limbaugh and the other national blowhards have said and the conventional wisdom that that's 40% and they want a wall.

and limbaugh claims to know what the "people want" even tho he goes from limo to private jet top studio to limo the mara largo to pick up some laundered russian money. and he's cheered on every shutdown since the 90s and continues to say it really won't harm republicans and shutdowns are good.

and all this wall crap evolved out of 20 years of constant lying about immigrants, mostly to sell voter suppression legislation. and limbaugh is still telling 10's of millions from a protected monopoly on public airwaves that democrats want illegal brown people here so they can vote for dems - to destroy america.

and dems just stick their fingers in theirears and say that's what the trump base wants to believe, it's free speech, etc.

this isn't going to change until democrats/left/liberals stop letting a few hundred racist assholes on 1500 radio stations yell the same lies all day with no organized opposition.

challenge from the left - that's the dominant political buzz in 40 states with 80 senators. the idiots on fox and the GOP reps and media hacks know they can repeat the dominant lies because they know/feel that they have been pounded into the earholes of 50 mil per week for months, even years.

if the GOP and putin would pay $1000/hr for radio lies denying global warming, making excuses for trump, selling deregulation and tax breaks, and defunding public ed, then 1200 radio stations 15hrs/day are worth about $5BIL/year FREE and without direct challenge or correction.

for thirty years they've had carnival barkers on every corner and stump in the country lying and hating all day, coordinated nationally and locally, and no one got in their face. eventually it becomes truth and the racism becomes more 'acceptable', and when media guys like eric boehlert blames everything on fox because he can't watch or read talk radio it's even worse.

and the minority of actual dittoheads/teabags who actually listen to the crap and believe it repeat it to secondary and tertiary audiences too busy or apathetic to fact check.

ignoring talk radio has been the biggest political mistake in history - and the dem party and progressive groups don't even complain that more than 88 universities endorse 260 limbaugh stations!

rw radio.

some trolls but a lot of liberals who've never heard any or know talk radio continue to repeat the rw talking points protecting that 20-1 monopoly - that it's an expression of market demand and free speech

and in austin the uni of texas does one limbaugh station

when those unis start pulling out too many advertisers will pull out for rw radio to survive in places like that

I spoke to the fellow working on my septic system tje other day. Basically a nice guy, but he said the old nonsense about liking Trump because "he says it straight."

"Even when he's lying?" I asked him.

Septuc systems fellow said "Well I don't know who to believe anymore."

I asked him if he read any newspapers. He said "no."

So there you have it.

When caught on Trump's lies, they fall into the "I don't know who to believe" and "They all lie" arguments.

But bring up Hillary and they sing an entirely different tune.

Ignorant sheep. It all boils down to the fact that Trump hates the right people and that's good enough for them.

....Bullshit.

You get your news "all over" from web sites, TV channels that tell you what you want to hear. Just massaging their ignorance. I have my trusted sources...then I have sources that are in opposition to everything I believe in...and I read them. Vast majority of the time, its opinionated spin that should be ignored (but they take as fact). But every once in awhile they do bring up a valid point. But alas, its a needle in a hay stack.

They proud that facts and experts don’t matter to them anymore. They are proud of their leader who tells it like it is, no matter what anyone else says. Тhey are proud of the lies they hold self evident come hell or high water. They are proud to defend and protect their white privilege come what may. They want their country back, a country that never existed.

Trump supporters are unconcerned about daily developments that trend against their viewpoint. They don't care about tax refunds or anything similar. That's why Trump's approval rating remains so remarkably stable within a tiny range. It is also the reason that 2020 will be extremely tight either way. Only a small sliver of the electorate is prone to shift in either direction during a Trump presidency or re-election cycle.

I guess it feels good to write articles about shamed Trump supporters but anyone who knows that type or posts on forums where they post understands that it is laughable hogwash. They'll use trivia like a cold day to support their climate change denial but nothing is sufficient to shift their opinion.

More Trump supporters from 2016 will die before 2020 than will change their mind about him.

Lock him up.

Wait to see the House commitees' investigations and their irrefutable evidence. Independents will not go his way this time, and the millenials don't vote R by a large gap.

it's very comforting to say that you won't take any notice of anything until the Benghazi thing and the Email thing has been investigated properly and Hillary has been locked up.

Then I will know everything is right with the world and it's ok to take more notice of what is happening today.

My oldest son is one of the orange man's supporters. He will admit he's done some wrong things, but wears the majority of what he's done was the right things for the Country. We both agreed never to get into a political fight, but once in a while we have a discussion. He firmly believes that all the Dem. Presidents since he's been alive have been crooks! Of course the Pubs weren't (Ha Ha) He's really a repug supporter.. Some people have told me it's because he was in the military for 15 years, and although he's not right now, he's working as the site manager for our aircraft base in Afghanistan, To me, that's still quasi military. I have no other explanation for his beliefs, so maybe that's it, but he's a very smart, rational man in all other parts of his life. He looks at the decisions made by Dems that reduce the military budget as harmful to the military and his buddies. He hated Clinton for reducing the military budget and will not recognize that many people asked for that decrease as "the peace dividend". However he was told to do a job, which was always aircraft repairs, and he couldn't because they wouldn't give him the $$ to buy the parts he needed to do that job.

Feel sorry for those people because they've been brainwashed and don't even know it.

trying to rationalize who and what these trump supporters are.

But by now? Forget it. I’m done. I’m done with that. I’ve seen plenty more than enough by now. They’re either deeply bent and twisted and racist and sexist and mean-spirited, OR they’re stupid, naive, gullible, and willfully, even PROUDLY ignorant. In the beginning, okay, anybody can make a mistake. But by now? Seeing what we’ve seen? Observing what we’ve repeatedly observed? And they’re STILL with him?

No more. NO more sympathy. NO MORE “see, you’ve gotta understand...” - as a trump apologist I know exhorted me to do, awhile ago. NO! I’m done. Enough. I’ve seen and heard and read and observed more than enough. The thing is - I DO understand. I already DO “understand” these people. They’re clear as day by now.
