Trump Blasts ‘High School Term Paper’ Green New Deal at El Paso Rally, Ocasio-Cortez Responds

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is live-tweeting her response to President Donald Trump‘s attacks on her proposed Green New Deal at his Monday night rally.

As Trump lashed out at his political foes in El Paso, TX, he called Ocasio-Cortez’s environmental policy proposal “a massive government takeover that would destroy the incredible economic gains” the country has seen during his presidency.

“Sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark,” Trump sneered.

As for Ocasio-Cortez, she’s following along with the president’s speech through Twitter, and she’s calling it rich of Trump to criticize her when he reportedly can’t make it through a daily briefing without giving up partway.
