(6,551 posts)A terrific story and background, #1 in the Senate for the number of bills written and introduced, #3 in getting bills actually passed and implemented. And not so far left that she scares off independents and moderate Republicans who are sick of Trump.
The Electoral College requires that we win states in the Midwest and she can do it. I don't think Harris, Bernie or Booker can.

(23,097 posts)Didn't know much about her previously, but she totally got my attention at the Kavarape fiasco. She really showed some smarts and moxie and we need both. I also really like that she didn't jump on the "destroy Al Franken" train. Wish more Dems had listened to her and we'd still have our strong champion in office since the photographer had already said the picture was a fake and Franken didn't touch her. There was also proof of Tweeden getting $100,000 from Stone just days before the picture was released.
Anyway, she's one of the front runners for my vote. I like some of the others too and am hoping Biden has the fire to run and jumps in in the race. We have an abundance of good-great candidates.

(23,097 posts)Also the only claim where the woman identified herself was because he, gasp, put his hand around her waist when she asked him for a selfie and it made her ashamed because she's overweight - even though he said nothing or did nothing wrong. That was the level of claims against him - totally bogus. 7 women didn't "come forward". There were just "anonymous" claims other than the waist thing and Tweeden, if I'm not mistaken and I read the news about this vociferously at the time.

And before you scoff at this kind of reporting, remind yourself that "Deep Throat" played a significant role in taking down Nixon - and remained "anonymous" for decades.
