Kick Northam out the Democratic party, but let him continue on as an Independent?

Joe Scarborough said democrats need to kick Northam out or we'll have no credibility next year when talking about Charlottesville...

Joe might be on to something here: If Northam agreed to switch his party affiliation to independent, perhaps that could be a form of compromise that would allow democrats to distance themselves from Northam while not handing the governorship over to republicans?

And he has a very good record since entering public service in 2007.

I’m getting very tired of Republicans like Joe Scarborough and people who don’t live in VA and who know little to nothing about the people involved continuing to call for his resignation, etc. it’s time for them to get back to covering the real issues involving Trump.

You can’t change Northam’s registration as a voter. If he were a legislator you could refuse to caucus with him. But he’s a governor and that wouldn’t mean anything.

You could deny him use of party funds for future campaigns I suppose. But VA gov is one and done.

to lose over such nonsense...a forty year old picture. Let me just say NO...and I think not having an option of allowing Northam to remain a Democrat and remain in office makes this polls slanted. I notice other is the most selected option.

Ralph Northam remains a Democrat and continues to do a great job for all of his constituents including those in the black community. Some Democrats are so willing to throw their own Democratic installed leaders under the bus. This is truly analogous to the Salem Witch hunts. WTF people?
