Trump Installed Golf Simulator at White House
February 13, 2019 at 11:41 am EST By Taegan Goddard
President Trump has installed a room-sized golf simulator game at the White House, which allows him to play virtual rounds at courses all over the world by hitting a ball into a large video screen, the Washington Post reports.
That system replaced an older, less sophisticated golf simulator that had been installed under President Obama
Trumps system cost about $50,000, and was put in during the last few weeks in a room in his personal quarters.
This could explain all of that "Executive Time"

(22,025 posts)When he stayed in DC during the shutdown, I knew he'd be using a simulator.
He's such an ass.
ETA: With this winter weather, I wish I had one!

(42,541 posts)Needy Amin would never leave the White House if he had a room giving him a big parade every day. Heck, I bet you could crowdfund it in a matter of hours.

I think it's great that Trump has a golf simulator. The more time he spends in there, the better. 24x7 would be fine by me.

(10,132 posts)like real presidenting - I don't mind giving the holder of that office a few perks. It's a hard, demanding job for most people, and presidents have always had ways of dealing with the stress: Eisenhower played golf, Kennedy swam, Obama shot hoops, and so on. But they were working most of the time.
Installed a few weeks ago? During the shutdown? So that's why he wasn't in a hurry to resolve it.
