Ive been following these people for a while. Its kind of a weird movement that grew out of cop watching. A lot of these first amendment auditors are angry right wingers that finally realized we have a policing problem- of course a lot of them blame Obama.
This particular auditor is a bit squirrelly. But shes harmless. I dont think she is a right winger.
She probably shouldnt have antagonized this guard after he pulled his gun.
But the guard has a screw loose.

Security guard arrested after shooting at synagogue in Fairfax District
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A security guard was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after being captured on film apparently shooting a woman in the leg outside a synagogue in L.A.'s Fairfax District.
Police and paramedics responded to the area of the Etz Jacob Congregation/ Ohel Chana High School in the 7600 block of Beverly Boulevard at 12:24 p.m.
The individual who was shot, Zhoie Perez, captured the encounter on cellphone video.
In the video, the security guard stood behind a gate as Perez approached while filming. The guard drew a firearm and pointed it low, but it appeared to go off in his hand. It's not clear from the video whether the shooting was intentional.

BUT when I started following these clowns I knew it was a matter of time before disaster happened. They are now in a call to action in the "community" about this which means everyone of the goofs will attempt to outdo this.
You may think I'm being harsh calling them goofs and I'm somewhat against their rights? Not at all, what I am against is the personal insults they use, the agitating and down right stalking tactics they use.
One guy high desert community watch has a 40 thousand dollar gofundme which he uses to do this. Almost all of his videos you can hear him once contact is made:
"I don't answer questions"
"I don't ID"
"your dismissed"
Then once he sees soft polite reaction
"Don't sleep with ypur partners wife"
"You work for me"
"My job is to educate you"
"You have bad teeth"
Another James Freeman will use this same "manifesto" and also will monitor and run to police calls. Most of the time with other "auditors" who all will antagonize the officers by shouting at them.
A few are even at war with each other over using each others videos and or tactics. Of those one was publicly berated because he parked his car outside a courthouse before auditing. Reason was fear law enforcement would envoke a traffic stop where the auditor would have to identify himself.
"We are doing a little story" is caught in 99 percent of the videos where they claim to be journalists. O have yet to find any story or videos in which discussions are about how tax dollars are spent.
They barge into court house's, child services offices, dmvs, public works, police departments, one even got in a dea office. A lot will cover their faces in some manner and move around like stalking prey.
This case will embolden them all ugh

And yeah, the movement gets more clownish as it goes on.

There are also great videos out which go into detail on how to deal with these people, along with sovereign and Moorish citizens.

(26,325 posts)Hes a bit of a newcomer to the auditing, isnt he?
I keep thinking, yeah these guys are jackasses but then the cops take the bait, escalate and/or lie to make an arrest and Im like yeah the cops deserve the heartburn they get
I dont at all agree with going in libraries and civilian offices to bother library checks and office workers.
As I said earlier, I believe this movement grew out of more noble efforts to film police stops - especially police stops of minorities. There were some pretty highly reported arrests of photographers/cop watchers getting arrested for being across the street or, as below, on their own front lawn.
The guy who started Photography is Not a Crime I Believe is/was a DUer. He was arrested for filming a protest and police reaction in Miami.
Carlos Miller (former?) duer

(3,496 posts)Most do good work but the freeman guy takes it to extreme where often he himself becomes involved by attacking police officers. It's really bad because 99 percent he has no clue what the officers are investigating.
Freeman I believe started in the free keene movement in New Hampshire although not positive. I have heard many of the auditors mention him and some have him join them as a "special guest"
