2. Years ago, both nurses and doctors smoked like fiends.

You don't see it much today but I still work with a few.

3. In the late 60s earyl 70s I was getting a physical or something and the doc in the little room

was smoking away. People in hospital rooms could ask for the nurse to bring them an ashtray, and they always did.

It was very common then. My how times have changed.

4. I remember going to my Orthodontist

and the front desk/hygenist would always have a ciggy hanging out of her mouth! Mid 70's.

5. Ohh, I know. And I recall those years all too well.

Oddly enough, respiratory therapists, even recently, tend to be smokers.

My younger brother was one, and a heavy smoker. The smoking has definitely taken its toll on him.

When you go to high school reunions, starting at about the 30th, it becomes more and more obvious who the smokers are, just by their appearance. And how much sooner they tend to die.
