Yet Another Winter Storm Tests the Nation's Patience

It's snowing, raining, sleeting, and icing up over a lot of the country today. The TV news is showing spin-outs, traffic tie-ups and airline cancellations. February has been a busy month, weather-wise.

Once again, it's time for patience. Take some deep breaths, slow down, and this storm will pass and everyone will dig out. If you don't have to get on the road, don't get on the road. That'll help everyone who does have to be out there driving.

Take your time shoveling or doing whatever you need to do. There's no hurry. Take a break from the hard work of shoveling snow, have a cup of coffee or a snack, and then go back out. That's especially true of oldsters like me, who need to control the amount of hard labor they do.

Pull back the curtains, raise the shades, and watch the landscape change. Throw some food out for the local birds and other critters. Relax and enjoy the view. You might as well. Mother Nature don't care about all that. It's Winter.

Flooding everywhere, locals saying the most rain they've ever seen.

I'm wishing I'd made my pond bigger and deeper.....
