I know Patricia is live streaming on her Instagram page. But I'm sticking with this periscope feed. Act.tv is doing a great job. Patricia is a hero.

By Spectrum News Staff Austin
PUBLISHED 2:38 PM CST Feb. 20, 2019

AUSTIN, Texas — After nearly eight hours, the woman who climbed to the top of the Southwest Key building in protest of family separation at the border came down.

Activist Patricia Okoumou is also known for climbing the Statue of Liberty last summer. She was later found guilty of tresspassing. She faces up to 18 months in federal prison and is set to be sentenced March 5.

Southwest Key is a nonprofit organization that operates shelter facilities for unaccompanied immigrant minors and immigrant youth.

Austin police received a call at 12:14 p.m. saying a woman was on the roof flying a banner.

She is currently being evaulated by Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services...

why aren't there more protests or activists calling more attention to this?????

they won't let any media into the detention centers. It's all very secretive.

I applaud Patricia Okoumou.

and thanks for posting this.
