"Senior official" at DOJ says no Mueller report next week?

Mueller only reports to two "senior officials" - Rod Rosenstein and William Barr.

Which was it?

If it was planned to be released, why was it changed?

From this perspective, it looks as if Trump is pressuring Barr to get Mueller to finish immediately, and someone has to inform Trump that it is not going to happen in the very near future.

Welcome to the circus, Barr!

Rick Wilson cautions reporters not to take dictation (essentially) from Trump’s minions. Their stories are seldom accurate and publishing them only harms the investigation.

If the Office of the Special Counsel felt it necessary to come out and say that the report would not be next week, that means that the story about the "report" did not originate with the Special Counsel.

It probably originated with Rudy Giuliani or the White House or with Barr himself?

But not from Robert Mueller.

as soon as Barr was confirmed, said it was a done deal for 'next' week. Just more distraction, confusion and chaos thrown into the ether. To exhaust everyone so we'll tune out.

Not going to happen.
