1. Is he really going to clarify something ambiguous, or is it a euphemism for backtracking on perjury?

an out the size a car could drive through in the specific words he used. But for the life of me I can't remember what they were.

Which, while a valuable time-wasting gimmick, also will now serve Meatball in that he will now get to say, "As I sit here on this day, and having taken a little time to review the record (like I should have done the last time I sat here today), I realize that my prior testimony is so bad and wrong as to be actionable, and I'd really like to take a mulligan and take another stab at it."

IMHO, the committee mostly cares about establishing Trump's obstruction of justice, and not so much on Whitaker's lies. They should of course, but there are bigger fish to catch.
