Matt Gaetz Apologizes to Nancy Pelosi and Deletes Tweet Threatening Michael Cohen

https://www.mediaite.com/online/matt-gaetz-apologizes-to-nancy-pelosi-and-deletes-tweet-threatening-michael-cohen/

After Matt Gaetz spent hours defending his tweet threatening Michael Cohen the Florida congressman has deleted the message and apologized to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for what he now says was a poor choice of words.

On Tuesday afternoon, Gaetz threatened Cohen with unsubstantiated allegations, tweeting “Hey @MichaelCohen212 – Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot…”

That tweet, which may have violated the law, was met with immediate condemnation from many of Gaetz’s fellow House members, as well as a stern rebuke from Pelosi, who issued a statement that suggested the House Ethics Committee look into Gaetz’s remark.

My Comment: Nancy is the boss.

Because as much as he OUGHT to backtrack and apologize, isn't that a totally weak, pathetic cuck move (in their lexicon)?

When your gimmick is being an allegedly genuine, obnoxious, offensive loudmouth, you don't have any room to maneuver once your loudmouthery lands you in a bind.

amazing how many (including myself at times) underestimated her.

Gaetz should still be investigated, he seems itching to appeal to the Trump base, to possibly run for higher office - that should be derailed now.

Pelosi is right to invoke the ethics committee, and if DOJ is still there for what it was intended for, then it should be involved, too.

If the House Ethics Committee doesn't look into this it will be another message in a long line of messages that the GOP can do what it wants, that the opposition party doesn't really oppose.

Election shenanigans by the GOP in 2000 & 2004 went without a challenge. Impeachment off the table in 2006. McConnell withholds a confirmation hearing for a democratically nominated Justice & crickets from the democrats. Russia meddles in our 2016 election, the dems knew about it, but decided to keep The People in the dark because McConnell threatened to make it political. Geez, where did the GOP get the idea they can get away with whatever the fuck they want?
