He yielded, then tried to put forth a motion, and Cummings shut him down.
Said that the testimony was hand-picked to only discuss items that would lead to Trump's impeachment.
Cummings is doing a Pelosi, he's taking no crap whatsoever.

(17,984 posts)Meadows was saying they did not get the info until 10 minutes before. Cummings told him they received the infor the same time ther did. Thus the vote on postponement that failed.

(8,200 posts)They have failed to challenge any of the information that Cohen has provided. It is a simple fact that they are part of a criminal organization with no intention of even pretending to be interested in getting the truth. The Republicans are disgusting at best. Jordan is a crude being of no consequence and is representative to the depths to which the party has sunk into the sewer. He tries to come off as a macho man. I can only hope to some day someone wipes up the fool with the scum bag.

(128,866 posts)Jordan yielded back his time with a satisfying harumph... But then suddenly started whining about wanting some time back to make a silly motion, but it was too late!

(1,981 posts)that the GOP can't help themselves but make comments that confirm that Trump has committed acts that any other President would have already been impeached for. If Trump has done nothing wrong, then this would all blow up in their faces... like Bengazi. But, they know he has committed crimes to get in office and while he has been in office. After today, they have to defend not impeaching a President who has committed felonies while in office.

(36,023 posts)From Chair Cummings to witness Cohen to the entire process!
The PLAYbook is solely that of GOP minority members to discredit this event as "fake."
Enough of the public can see through their theater to obstruct impeachment, as evidenced by their making MSNBC's reporting #1 in their viewing. Based on their belief of MSNBC hosts' analyses, they will side with Democrats' process integrity.

(28,817 posts)So, doing a Pelosi would not be accurate.
More, Pelosi has learned from a master.
Miles Archer
(18,837 posts)In the current chronology, his demeanor today closely matches the way Pelosi has been handling Trump and Republicans in general.
Not suggesting that he learned anything from her or that he followed in her footsteps.
In the time since the midterms, he is in alignment with the way that she has been conducting herself. Not making a value judgement, a "who is better, who came first" analysis.
He's handling things the way Pelosi handles things.
Pelosi handles things the way he handles things.
They are on the same page.
Anything else inferred did not come from me.
