The republicans are making fools of themselves.

Their game plan is ridiculous. They have not addressed a single claim made by Cohen. They continue to attack him personally and call him names without asking substantive questions.

They are completely unprepared.

No defense. They have no defense. There is no defense.
History will judge them severely, because this is all coming down.

So there's really nothing they can do about Cohen except attack his credibility - but they're screwed as to that, too, because when Cohen lied to Congress previously he did so to protect Trump. They can't handle the truth, as the saying goes.

so by harping on those very lies, they are not only emphasizing that Trump did wrong, they are also emphasizing he lacks a legitimate legal defense (why else would his lawyers engage in fabricating a false one?).

they came prepared, that is their game plan. I am disappointed in the questions being asked by the Democrats. Some repeat the same questions. It seems to me the Democrats are the ones who are not prepared.

Cummings was prepared, he thwarted them in the beginning and his questions were ok.

Sorry, but I'm disappointed, maybe the best is yet to come?

Cohen is carrying himself ok but he needs help from the Democrats.

I couldn't agree more. Republicans are taking the predictable slam mode. The Democratic questioning should be far superior. As John Dean just said, the opening statement was too brief and not enough detail. Our questioners should have sensed that and asked Cohen to expand on the more damning aspects

Yes, Cohen lied, but: He has nothing to lose now. I abhor the questions and comments by the Republican members of this committee. It is so biased that it causes me to laugh. Yes, they are biased but it is obvious that they are covering for the president. It is offensive to all of us as we watch and listen.
I do not support the past lies by Mr. Cohen but...at which point do we come to the conclusion that he is now telling the truth and this man who is our president is complicit in all the bad deeds and should be held accountable. I will never in the rest of my life vote for a Republican.

No wonder tRump escaped to Vietnam. I can only wish that he would stay there. I am disgusted. Remember the old saying? Where there is smoke, there is fire?
I can only hope that this testimony today and that of yesterday and tomorrow will bring down this current administration.
Not just just impeachment, but removal from office. We need to be rid of this evil administration.
