House Judiciary chairman says he will launch probe of Trump's 'abuse of power'
The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee said Sunday that he plans to request documents from more than 60 people and organizations connected to President Trump as part of an inquiry that could eventually lead to his impeachment.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said on ABC Newss This Week that the targets include the presidents son Donald Trump Jr.; Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization; and the Justice Department.
The materials, the congressman said, would be used to begin investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power.
Impeachment is a long way down the road. We dont have the facts yet. But were going to initiate proper investigations, he said.
