The title Hypocrite has lost meaning.

We all use it. I say it daily. It does not seems to have meaning to the hypocrites. They seem to embrace it like some did "deplorable".

So I am searching for synonyms that sting, or embarrass or maybe even make some think (yeah, sure).

So far I have thought of FRAUD, LIAR, IGNORANT FOOL, PHONY. I also like PRETEND CHRISTIAN WHO SHOULD FEAR GOING TO HELL.

They seem to be proud of their hypocrisy. I guess BRAIN DEAD CULT MEMBER would also apply.

It's just shorthand for "I don't like what you did, and you also did something else I didn't like."

To me it means that you are an insincere fraud. Go to church, claim to be a Christian and then cheat, lie, steal, discriminate, you know the basics of today's GOP.

I am not asking people to be perfect but damn....cheating on elections, lying to our faces, saying racists and white supremacists are good people. Fighting for the rights of fetuses while they are cheering the torment of children locked in cages.

If they do that, they are already a liar, so why would I expect them to tell truth about religion?

But it gets worse from there, because the liar just turns around and calls you the hypocrite. So it's just an opening for them to deflect from their own behavior.

Definition of hypocrisy
1
: a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not : behavior that contradicts what one claims to believe or feel

His hypocrisy was finally revealed with the publication of his private letters.
especially : the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion
our conventional morality often serves as a cover for hypocrisy and selfishness

I have to go to profanity to get any real emotion into a word these days. I think they understand those 4 letter words still.
