Don't be a socialist - Don't buy stuff before a snowstorm

People were like zombies out there panic-buying before the Seattle snowstorm, and I have a theory as to why.

I saw the people in the ridiculously long lines at Albertson’s Friday morning. There is a huge factor why everyone is in a tizzy over some snow.

This is a Seattle issue. Socialism brings a lack of self-sufficiency. We have so many people who have decided to rely on government for every aspect of their lives. “Government will provide me the wage I need, they’ll provide me free community college, they’ll take stuff from the guy who is more successful and give it to me because I deserve it.”

Then when we get a little snow, those people who rely on government for everything in their life have to be self-sufficient for a day or two. They can’t handle it.

Don't embrace socialism, kids. Next time a potential disaster is on the horizon, don't buy anything or prepare for it... because that's what FREEDOM is!

All the insane things called 'socialist', let's revisit them.

I think I'll have material for a long time.

how did this get published anywhere but a series of tweets. This is nothing but trying to put talking points together without making sense.

AKA the standard Republican line of statements against Rep. Omar, AOC, Pelosi, or liberals in general.

It's Orwellian newspeak.

They know that after the storm that anything that can be marked up, will be marked up.

Ohhh, it's not. What's even more screwed up than this is that there will be people who eat up this nonsense despite it not having any coherence. "Yeap, those god damn liberal commies..." is something I'm sure his readers were telling each other as they read that. His words not making sense is unimportant, because all that matters are those keywords.

12. What a dumb piece. For one thing, it's much harder to get around in Seattle

after a snowstorm than in many other places. Because we don't get serious snow as often, the cities don't own much snow removal equipment. And all the icy hills make driving that much harder.

We also tend to get wet, heavy snow that often takes down power lines. When you lose your power for several days, and it's 20 degrees outside, it's not fun.

So when Seattle-ites try to prepare in advance of a snowstorm, they're not being socialists. They're just being practical.

Taking public funds for any of your projects , like golf courses , and buildings which he has. You're a liar if you try to claim others are bad if they do that , but you aren't if you do that, exactly what he's now doing.

Doesn't take but a moment of breezing through his articles to see he's the Libertarian's Libertarian. Most everything out of his mouth is anti-government, and he has a 3-hour radio show on KIRO Radio in Seattle every day. Sounds like one of Limbaugh's long-lost dream prodigies.

I noticed most of the comments on his article called it out as bullshit with many saying the guy needs a very long break.

And, check out who owns KIRO and MyNorthwest.......Bonneville International:

Bonneville International Corporation is a media and broadcasting company, wholly owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) through its for-profit arm, Deseret Management Corporation. It began as a radio and TV network in the Triad Center Broadcast House in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bonneville's name alludes to Benjamin Bonneville and the prehistoric Lake Bonneville that once covered much of modern-day Utah, which was named after him.

Bonneville owns 13 radio stations in four major markets as well as one NBC affiliate television station in its home market; it also manages eight additional radio stations in two markets under a local marketing agreement. Additionally, its Bonneville Communications division provides marketing and communications strategy and branding services. Bonneville Distribution, another division, provides broadcast syndication and distribution services to non-profit organizations.
