I noticed that NBC-WSJ poll got a lot of play. It's always been a tad bit of outlier, about two to four points more friendly to Trump than other polls of the same time period.

In the US, 14% of the adult population is at the "below basic" level for prose literacy; 12% are at the "below basic" level for document literacy; and 22% are at that level for quantitative literacy. Only 13% of the population is proficient in these three areas—able to compare viewpoints in two editorials; interpret a table about blood pressure, age, and physical activity; or compute and compare the cost per ounce of food items.

Or that he is a "broken vessel" doing God's work, despite his flaws. Which many many evangelicals have self conditioned themselves into believing. At least they admit he is flawed. But think that he is like a number of characters in the Bible, many of them rulers, who inadvertently were fulfilling God's plan, despite their intentions.

These people are crazy enough. but then there's this other group that have convinced themselves that the rest of the networks (besides Fox) actually are all colluding with lies to bring down their Dear Leader, and that he himself has not ever told a lie. These are scary folks.

Yep, they are the scary ones!

"A presidential candidate paying money to hide a negative story during a campaign, and not disclosing that payment, is unethical and a crime, 40 percent of voters say. Another 21 percent say it is unethical, but not a crime, and 20 percent say it is not unethical."

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable.

And what's more unbelievable, I'll bet there are "evangelicals" counted among that number.

Mar 2019

I know folks at Pew and they don't take long term national contracts on politics any longer.
But, the single biggest flaw appears to be the issue at CSPAN WJ.
1:1:1 dems, repubs, and indies. That automatically overstates the support as 90% of Rs support PINO.
So, with that basis, the floor is 30%.
Now, if 40% of the indie voters approve, the aggregate is already 43.33%.
They have never shown me the raw data, but these are pros and I respect their judgment.

Figure in the margin of error and the NBC/WSJ poll was not that far off the others.

One poll doesn't a trend make. If it stays consistently off-balance, then it's probably time to look more closely. 538 also rates it an A-, so I think that particular one was probably just noise. We'll see in the next few....

We took half the Republican power that day. Just like that we went from Republicans having the whole pie to us taking half the pie for ourselves.

Trump’s popularity polls are lies. Just an attempt to keep the horse race illusion going.

We also need to keep an eye out for the Sealioning that comes just after Trump takes a major beating like North Korea and Michael Cohen’s testimony.

I live in West Central Florida (Tampa Bay) and can't really say that's what I see here. Though I believe most are mindful of expressing any views any longer. Yes, there are the single individuals who still are trumpsters, but when you live in St Pete, FL, home of the Largest Gay Pride in State of Florida, trumpsters are like seeing Snow Accumulation here in Pinellas County, FL

outside of Rasmussen of course. Also, when Trump's approvals were sinking around the election, their poll was the only poll that really didn't have any drop in his approvals. I think their sampling must be off. I'm not one to say it's a conspiracy or anything, but I think their sampling is all screwed up.

Numbers only the major campaigns have. That is --- what are the numbers in states that add up to at least 270 electoral votes? The average does not tell us that unfortunately.
