Nicolle Wallace details how criminal enterprise investigation could take down Trump and his entire empirehttps://www.rawstory.com/2019/03/nicolle-wallace-details-criminal-enterprise-investigation-take-trump-entire-empire/
MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace broke down how indicting the Trump organization as a criminal enterprise could allow prosecutors to take down President Donald Trumps entire empire.
A legal theory that has long been whispered about by legal experts and veteran prosecutors has spilled out into the open in the wake of Michael Cohens explosive testimony the possibility that Donald Trump and the Trump Organization are being investigated as a criminal enterprise, Wallace reported on MSNBCs Deadline: White House on Tuesday.
The undercurrents have been there all along, with federal law enforcement officials and lawmakers comparing Donald Trumps conduct to that of a mob boss, she continued.
The host then played clips from people close to the organization making the argument.
Its like, you know, a Sopranos episode where Tony is going to a poorly-lit [sic] parking garage and meeting with a leader from another mob, suggested Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who sits on the Judiciary Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
This is classic kind of criminal enterprise behavior, right? You have a very a strong leader who rules by force of will and personality, who demands unquestioned loyalty from those people around him, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe charged.
She also played a clip of former FBI Director James Comey explaining how very strange it was for him to compare the president of the United States to a mafia boss.
A Brand New World
(1,119 posts)a few days ago. I was astounded how similar Trump and his cohorts sounded to Capone and his. There is no doubt in my mind that they are the mob. I hope that SDNY takes the whole bunch down and all of the assets are confiscated!

(63,221 posts)"Capone, like Trump, was prone to public self-pity, apparently needing to go before the press and complain about how poorly the authorities and the media treated him.
In December 1927, Capone announced that hed suffered enough abuse and was leaving for Florida.
Let the worthy citizens of Chicago get their liquor the best they can, Capone told the Chicago Tribune. Im sick of the jobits a thankless one and full of grief.
Ive been spending the best years of my life as a public benefactor. Ive given people the light pleasures, shown them a good time. And all I get is abusethe existence of a hunted man.
Public service is my motto.
But Im not appreciated. Its no use.
When Capone went to Los Angeles instead, the locals didnt appreciate him either. Forced out of the city and sent home by the LAPD, Capone griped to the Los Angeles Times: Why should everybody in this town pick on me?
Of course, Capone was ultimately brought down by tax evasion and I suspect Trump will be brought down by something similar as well. His larger crimes will most likely go un-prosecuted, but as long as he ends up in prison I don't care how he gets there.
