Trump calls Apple's Tim Cook 'Tim Apple' during council meeting

President Trump on Wednesday called Tim Cook “Tim Apple” during the Apple CEO’s visit to the White House.

Cook attended a meeting with the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board in the State Dining Room. The president praised the CEO, who has run the tech company for the past eight years, for putting “a big investment in our country. We’re going to be opening up the labor forces because we have to. We have so many companies coming in,” Trump said.

“People like Tim — you’re expanding all over and doing things that I really wanted you to right from the beginning. I used to say, ‘Tim, you gotta start doing it here,’ and you really have. I mean, you’ve really put a big investment in our country.
We really appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”

He made a similar mistake in March 2018 when he introduced Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson as “Marillyn Lockheed.”
