Any company that associates itself with these asspickles should feel the wrath of sane people.
Nice product placement there by Eva Braun at the hearing yesterday.
Wonder how Pellegrino feels to be associated with the torture of children?
Someone should ask them.

(15,320 posts)Companies should feel that "even the appearance" of "support" will cause them pain.
The only thing Retrumplicans understand is MONEY.
We need to do all we can to ensure companies know that even their products being in the same room with these evil, vile, racist people can be costly.
We are in a battle for the survival of our country. I didn't ever agree with W about just about anything, but he was right about one thing..."If you're not with us, you're 'agin' us"
It would be nice for companies to feel as if being associated with this administration, EVEN if it is unintended, is about as popular as dick-cancer.

(50,261 posts)Is she wearing Anne Klein? Do we boycott Anne Klein? If she picked up a bottle of Poland Springs instead would we boycott that company? Don't cloud the real issue with baloney.

(21,560 posts)Rethugs are in fact flesh and blood and require food and drink to function. There mere fact they purchase something with a brand name does not means that their believes are forced upon that brand.

(9,350 posts)It would not be fair to boycott Pellegrino just because someone you do not like, or with whom you do not agree chooses to drink their beverage. Pellegrino did not endorse the locking up of children, or lock up any children. Companies should not be boycotted just because a particular person likes that company. Also, if we do go down that road will be have anything to drink, eat, wear? What happens if it comes out that Kristen Nielson likes Coco-Cola, or Pepsi? What happens if it comes out that she likes both and occasionally drinks either drink? Do we then stop drinking both drinks? What happens if it comes out that she like pizza, eggs, bread, and/or cheese? Do we stop eating those things. She wore clothes to the event yesterday. Do you stop wearing clothes in order to send a message to clothing producers and clothing stores?

(11,949 posts)Cause she bought and drank a pelligrino it is their fault?
What, you want them to print no consumption by racist assholes on their label!

(15,320 posts)Look, silence is "acceptance".
You have the very face of evil sitting there with Pellegrino prominently sitting in front of her.
I happen to think it's appropriate to ask the company; "how they feel about that"?
I happen to agree with most of the posters that have responded to this. In "normal" times, what someone consumes should not become an issue.
These are NOT normal times
All we do by pretending that stuff like this doesn't matter, is "normalize" it.
When the bigoted, evil, racist, sexist, cruel narcissistic sociopath is filmed smiling behind a silver tray of Big Macs, I think it's appropriate to ask McDonald's if they "support this bigoted, evil, racist, sexist, cruel narcissistic sociopath".
As far as I'm concerned, that's a "valid" question to ask. In fact, not asking it, or the company not distancing themselves from it, is "acceptance".
We are seriously in a battle to save our country. You may find it ridiculous, but I think these companies have a duty to...at a minimum...repudiate these people.
In a just and free world, seeing your product in the blood-stained hands of these monsters and remaining silent should be an economic "kiss of death"

(6,930 posts)How is a company supposed to vet everyone who buys their product? Ridiculous.

(15,385 posts)Should we ban that too? How is it the product's fault? Are they supposed to not sell to Republicans?

(15,320 posts)but we can ask the Coca-Cola company to state that they don't want to be associated with this evil personified asshat.
As I said in an above post, seeing your product in these people's blood-stained hands ought to make you want to distance yourself from them.
Do that enough times and the people of this country will begin to realize that "this shit we're going through ain't normal".

I'm sorry, but such things are an utter waste of time and energy.

(146,286 posts)I'm sure she bought that Pellegrino water and brought it in. Maybe she prefers it, or maybe it was what was available where she was. I don't know. I know that I've bought bottles of it from time to time when it was the easiest choice. It's just water.
Others particularly like that brand, although I have no idea why. Pellegrino sells bottles of water. Anyone can buy them. Pellegrino is not endorsing the views of its customers. Just the opposite. Its customers are endorsing the water, in one way or another.
It's a freaking bottle of water. What if it were Poland Springs or Perrier? Who cares?
