treatable! Hubby and two sons have it. They watch diets and take a daily pill. Not a big deal like Manafort is making out of it. All for show!

conditions are always prescribed or provided. It has certainly been an issue in both state and Federal jails in Colorado, where ACLU has had to file multiple suits (as they have in other states and Federal facilities, but I happen to actively follow ACLU's actions in my state). Not to mention a gout-prevention diet is not always going to be an option behind bars. They don't tend to do that great with diabetics, so gout is certainly not going to be a priority.

for the average inmate. But for such a high profile prisoner in a federal facility, he should get his allopurinol. High priced attorneys would demand it if they wanted relief for him. But it looks better if their client looks impaired, I think.

was the green jumpsuit made of ostrich skin?
And that wheelchair - Lamborghini or Aston-Martin?

Hope he gets the book thrown at him - perhaps a "first edition" autographed one would be preferable to a man of such class!

"A painful type of arthritis. References to gout have been recorded as far back as ancient Egypt. It has been called "the rich man's disease" especially during the depression, because it was thought to be caused by a "rich" diet, heavy in meat.

You get it because of increased purine intake, which often comes with processed meat products. I was told as a child that I could
avoid gout if I didn't eat bologna, which my grandmother, who had gout, loved.
