“Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.”

From the article: "In this context “enemies,” for example, must be countries against which Congress has formally declared war or otherwise authorized the use of force."

Since the United States isn't at war with Russia, it isn't treason.

It's generally interpreted as requiring the enemy to whom aid and comfort was given to be one with which we are at war - that is, a declared war. Nobody has been prosecuted for treason since WWII.

Confession in open court or testimony of 2 eyewitnesses to the overt act.

Have video of the act, too bad, it doesn't count. Emails to the enemy, too bad, doesn't count.
