I love the way the door instantly slammed on Manafort,

the door he thought might lead to a lovely pardon.

They'd just gotten started explaining to him that 7.5 years wasn't that horrible a sentence -- it would probably be two at the most, since Trump would pardon him -- when BAM! The NY State charges dropped, and lots of them.

And Virginia and Illinois are probably waiting in the wings, just in case.

If there's anything useful he could provide to Mueller after all -- something with DOCUMENTATION -- now's the time.

for states to try someone for the same crime that the Feds tried them for, another form of the Double Jeopardy rule. I believe there is a case pending over this.

and that the judge did not say that. More of Trump "code speak" which failed miserably. That lawyer sounded like a pathetic Trump puppet.
