The mission of Mueller’s investigation is researching Russian influence in the 2016 election. Not “prove Trump colluded.” It is Trump who keeps bringing up the allegation, not the people investigating Russia.

This makes me more suspicious he did conspire to collude with Russia. It is like somebody just got pulled over by police for speeding, and tells the officer to not look in the back seat of the car, before the officer even tries to look at it or says anything.

And, why would the U.S. President not want to defend the U.S. from Russian cyberattacks, interference, and sabotage?

Trump hears about this and freaks out. He thought HIS phone was tapped. You may recall that he thought Obama was listening in on him. He even thought there might have been listening devices in the microwave oven.

Well, because he's an idiot, Trump came right out instantly and started to try to downplay an issue that no one at the time knew even existed.
