Congressional oath

“I, XXXX ZZZZZ, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Where's the part about allowing two more years of nationwide damage until you can let "the people decide"??? You swore to defend the constitution. Trump has ignored and subverted the constitution and caused permanent damage to our reputation and our democracy. I remember the draft that sent my brother to Vietnam at the height of the conflict. He swore a similar oath. Was he allowed to delay by two years his entry to combat-No, you take the oath and you do your job. No excuses, no delays, no "let the voters decide". Do your fucking job and do it now or get out of congress.

I know that because I took one too. You say it and you are supposed to mean it. I did-I gave my word.
