hatred for women.
each and every anti-choice argument, whether based on religion, men's rights, fetal rights, etc., says that some THING, or some ONE, whether religious beliefs, the state, the male, the z/e/f, is more important than the woman.
it really is that simple.

(52 posts)And the republican legislators are always trying to control a woman's autonomy. No one is for abortion, it's just no one else's business. It's always between a woman and her health care. It's ironic to me that republican legislators want to shrink the size of Government yet constantly interfere with our private business. It is hatred and fear of women.

(41,919 posts)There is no moral equivalating. Anti-choice comes from millenia of presenting women as lesser, weaker, less human. Its gotten into the mindsets of millions, who will take the body of a human being, and resign her to reproduce slavery.
Its easy to hate what you dont consider quite human, and every anti-choice law presents women as less than human, without full rights.
Nearly All religion has some documented basis in this hatred.
