I read somewhere else here on DU that there are a number of sealed indictments from Mueller's investigation.
What is the process for unsealing these indictments?
Does it happen at the end of Mueller's investigation as he turns in his report? Does it have to happen before his report is filed? Does he have to bring in those individuals that were a party to the sealed indictments for questioning? Does he have to charge them with crimes and see them through the courts - like Cohen, Manafort, etc?
What happens to sealed indictments?

(25,237 posts)Let's say Don Jr. is the subject of one of these sealed indictments. So when Mueller is ready to unseal his supposed indictment Don Jr will be apprehended and charged? Did I get that right?

(5,268 posts)Hypothetically, if Mueller is going after RICO conspiracy case of Trump campaign conspiring with Russia, there could be several top Trump campaign staffers including Jr, Kushner, Stone and perhaps Manafort all indicted for conspiracy or related perjury charges as Mueller wraps up his investigation, leaving other investigations such as the inauguration or foreign deals not involving Russia to other investigators.

(12,344 posts)There are sealed indictments in the DC federal court's docket. There is no way to know if they belong to Mueller or to unrelated cases.
Just a warning so you don't get too disappointed if they turn out to be nothing
