US Muslim advocacy group to Trump: 'We hold you responsible' for increase in Islamophobia

A top Muslim organization is blasting President Donald Trump after a mass shooting at two mosques in New Zealand left 49 people dead and dozens more injured.

"During your presidency and during your election campaign, Islamophobia took a sharp rise and attacks on innocent Muslims, innocent immigrants and mosques have skyrocketed," Nihad Awad the Executive Director and co-founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights and advocacy group, said at a press conference.

Police in New Zealand say the alleged gunman, described as being in his late 20s, opened fire inside a mosque in Christchurch and that a shooting at a different mosque killed a total of at least 49 worshipers gathered for Friday prayers. Authorities say a lengthy online document, posted after the shooting and linked to the alleged gunman's video of the shooting, praised other mass shooters, advocated white supremacy and detailed hatred for immigrants.

"We hold you responsible for this growing anti-Muslim sentiment in the country and in Europe, but we also do not excuse those terrorist attackers against minorities at home and abroad," he continued.

45 has much to be responsible for. His time is coming. I dont believe the polls. 45 has found a way to fix them. I dont believe even 30% of Americans support him. Many of the rally attendees are paid and many are laughing at him not believing what they are hearing. They just want to witness the spectacle. God Bless America!! May she soon return to moving forward!

as well...

Trump is a terrorist…

Terrorist: a person who uses unlawful (and/or immoral) violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

And I have two thoughts on the topic:

1. People are trying to get him, but it isn't being reported.
2. The ones on our side are just too nice and believe in the rule of law to do something like that.

I think most on DU would go with the second option, but you really have to wonder about the first. Have there been plots? Is the MSM just staying away because it would rile up either side?

Make it look like a miracle and the right wing Evangelicals will call him the second son of God... er, well, they'll call him that to an even greater degree.
