If you don't know of Randy, do yourself a favor and check him out on You Tube.
It was the 2nd show of his tour held in the newly renovated Balboa Theater in San Diego. Beautiful, intimate place - we were about 10 rows from the stage on the left side.
He had musicians (who were fantastic!) and interspersed live singing with his videos. Some of my favorites he performed were "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Korea?", "Desperate Cheeto" and "Rudy and the Beast". He ended with a rousing version of "Braggadoccious!" which brought down the house. He even had a Q & A session which was also hilarious.
If you ever have the opportunity to see Mr. Rainbow in person, go for it!

(1,357 posts)He showed a short video of a few of his friends thanking him for keeping us sane during the T-Era. Friends like Lorna Luft, Melissa Gilbert, Debra Messing and Mark Hamill. Lou Diamond Phillip's bit was a love song to Randy.
There were hats. Lots of hats. Cowboy hats, fedoras, 1 MAGA hat (big BOO), a commodore hat and a nun's veil. And many sparkling jackets.
The questions were great, he semi-loved on/dissed the audience members and we learned that he is NOT a product of the Trump administration (although he 'luvs' him); he started videos in 2010 and he's been in musical theater all his life.
It shows!

(1,357 posts)I heard them. But they weren't on stage. I guess it could have been pre-recorded, but it would have been hard to synch up. 🤔

(1,357 posts)Besides his wonderful singing voice, he was full of snappy comments. When he walks to the wings to grab a new boa or hat for the next segment, he stands watching his own video and you can tell he's admiring it. LOL

Joanie Baloney
(1,357 posts)It was the second show of a multi-city tour. (I didn't mean to imply it was his 2nd night IN San Diego.)
