I’m into socialism because since the regan era we have had vulture capitalism. I want my tax dollars to fund education healthcare and the elderly in I’ll be 63 in ten years but I’m union with a promise of a decent pension.

Many economies are a mix of government and private run enterprises.

The key is regulation of the private companies to prevent the few sociopathic capitalists from damaging society.

Trump is a metaphor for how bad it has progressively gotten. In a true meritocracy someone without talent or brains would probably end up working on a garbage truck or picking cotton or something, but thanks to inheriting half a billion $$$$$ he's squatting in the Oval Office surrounded by fawning toadies.
