Trump attends church on St. Patrick's Day

Trump attended services on Sunday morning at St. John's Episcopal church in Washington, D.C. to mark St. Patrick's Day.

The president made the short trip to the church, located about two blocks from the White House, via motorcade.

The 11 a.m. service featured some Irish elements to commemorate St. Patrick's Day, according to a reporter traveling with the president.

Trump had spent the hours leading up to church tweeting criticisms of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), urging Fox News not to discipline its hosts for incendiary remarks and criticizing "Saturday Night Live."

I don't remember St. Patrick's being a holy day of obligation. Maybe he attended an Episcopal church to celebrate the centuries England had occupied Ireland.

A lot of memories of hanging out in front of the Hay Adams Hotel when I had a gig there and wasn't lead on the gig. I always wondered what the never absent protests were about.

I believe Obama attended there most Sundays. We knew to get the van into the hotel's alley if we were running very late Saturday night, because at some point, in the wee hours, they would begin clearing the street of vehicles.

I wonder if they will do anything to purify the church in order to remove any evil that rubbed off. I'm not sure what the Episcopalians' position on that sort of thing might be.

The orange one would be panting if forced to walk and the Mrs would be limping from her stilettos.

He is German and Scottish. His parents were Presbyterian and Lutheran and he was raised as a Presbyterian. Is he purposely trying to piss off the Irish by going to an English church?
