(66,307 posts)The stunt team for the New Zealand-filmed trilogy was made up mostly of Maoris, and they performed a haka for the cast and crew upon completion of filming.
I love how a ceremony once used to psych men up for war has now become a ritual to honor dignitaries, the married couple at weddings, and the dead at funerals.
It's also a wonderful demonstration of the power of love over hate, and the determination of good people to fight against injustice.

Waikato Mongrel Mob president Sonny Fatu offered to shield the Jamia Masjid Mosque in Hamilton.
We will support and assist our Muslim brothers and sisters for however long they need us, Fatu told New Zealand news outlet, Stuff.
