(659 posts)I mean CNN and MSNBC ALWAYS hire rightwing nut jobs that I'm sure the majority of us wants to see.

(16,834 posts)She's not good to represent our side and Fox knows that and that's why she was hired. They find the stupidest Democrats to work there; they want punching bags, not debaters.

She's not exactly one of their long-legged babes, but I truly have absolutely no surprise on learning she accepted an offer when made. Profound dishonesty and missing moral compasses are job requirements there.
Actually, she's been on the skids to the far right via the back route through the far left ever since betraying Democrats so disgracefully, and boy does this belie her attempts to act as if she wasn't on a long downhill slide. After CNN and NBC fired her, she tried to find a new home farther left with Bernie Sanders, who wasn't about to let her in his operation. Her trash book revenues and appearances on farther left shows like sometimes-liberal/sometimes poisonous scorpion Bill Maher's gave her cover for a while, but now here she is arrived at her new gig with the far right. For as long as that lasts.

It's like "professional" wrestling, where the WWWhatever hires people to be the "bad" guys, who lose to the "good" guys, all in an effort to suck more money from the gullible.

News organizations select folks based on their following and abilities and much less so their political ambitions.

(14,565 posts)They wouldn't have picked her otherwise.
I'm always reminded of Bill O'Reilly interviewing Geraldo on his first night on Fox, scolding Geraldo that he "needed rehabilitation" to work on that network, after backing Bill Clinton on MSNBC.
It went far beyond rehabilitation. Nobody is recognizable once they become absorbed by that network.

And actually it's not whataboutism, because I'm not defending Brazile, so I'm not guilty of hippocrisy. (Maybe you missed the post that I was replying to? I was agreeing with them about Brazile, not defending anyone who works for FoxNews). The poster was referring to "anyone who works for FoxNews." Like Jeff Weaver, yes? You should read that link you shared, since you may have glossed over what differentiates whataboutism with simply adding to the conversation.
Those who trash Brazile for stooping to appear on Fox while giving Weaver a pass for the same are the only ones squirming and clearly feeling defensive thinking they are being called hippocrites, when all I did was simply point out another Democrat who's a regular on FoxNews. I'm being consistent, so I have no reason to be defensive or accusatory.
Looks like a perfectly sized shoe, judging from that reaction.

(12,448 posts)Many people think that they're expanding their reach by hiring "Democrats." In reality, they hire only those so-called Democrats who love to constantly trash other Democrats. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sanders there after he loses the primaries.
