Rev. W. Bruce McPherson of St. John's Episcopal where Trump attended service Sunday: "Well perhaps were called whenever we overhear or oversee hateful slurs against other people, perhaps we need the holy courage to call them out, because thats just not us. Its not easy to confront someone. But I know darned good and well that sometime at work or in the grocery store or dining in a restaurant or even just around the dining room table, someone says something that is just downright offensive and Im the first one to just let it pass, because Im a peacemaker. Maybe we shouldnt be so ready to do that... It takes courage I know. But its up to us. Courage is contagious."
I'm not clear on whether the Rev actually said this during his sermon or after.
