Missouri state tax return are a hot mess this year

The complaints are everywhere. I personally was accepted on January 28, with an original process date of 3 weeks. Three weeks passed and it turned into six weeks. Now the website states twelve weeks to validate returns, with reports of phone calls stating up to 20 weeks. And refunds are much smaller than in years past.

I called yesterday. I was caller 50 in line. When I finally spoke to someone I was dismissed and constantly interrupted. At one point the young man on the line stated that I should just donate the money back to the state treasury. He also stated that I should be happy that the state chose to give me anything back at all.

The GOP has really fouled it up this year.

The citizens will let almost everything else go but this is their money. I know several staunch Republicans who want Gov Parsons head on a platter after calling his office to complain about DOR and the AG, only to have them say that it isn't their job to handle complaints.
