6. An article that was posted earlier this week was about a farmer who had lost 30 calves

due to flooding. I'm sure he's not the only one who has lost livestock. That's a major blow that will take much longer to recover from than a delayed planting season.

7. I guess I am a terrible person, but when I hear these farmers who voted for Trump say

that even though they expect to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars, don't know if they'll even be able to plant this spring and may lose their farm if things don't get much better soon (beans selling for less than $9 while "break-even" is $10), Trump is still their "champion", my response is "Fine! Lose what you've worked
for your whole life and smile as the auctioneer sells your family's home! And, practice saying 'Would you like fries with that?' "
